OPERATING UNDER DHHS approval
With social distancing measures in place, we thought long and hard for a way to bring back the power of play to the Bayside community, so we have launched a Click & Collect service!
While lockdown restrictions are enforced in Victoria, the DHHS has approved toy libraries to operate under their Click & Collect service.
When Toy Libraries Australia spoke to Business Victoria, they stated that “as long as members are staying within their local communities, utilising a contactless service from outside the premises and all cleaning requirements are being followed, this can continue during Lockdown Restrictions.”
Our weekly Click & Collect sessions run on:
- Tuesday afternoons 3-5pm
- Saturday mornings 10-12pm
To ensure we can maintain adequate social distancing whilst avoiding queuing, these sessions will be divided into 15 minute slots.
BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL
You will not be able to attend the Toy Library unless you have booked your “Click and Collect” session (members won’t be allowed into the toy library so all choices need to be reserved online prior to arrival.)
CAN I JUST RETURN TOYS?
Absolutely! If you are returning toys but not picking up any new ones up, please email Sally at infoinfo[at]baysidetoylibrary.org.au to arrange a suitable time.
I HAVE A BABY AND I’M NOT TOO SURE WHAT TOYS TO PICK?
Well, I guess you’ll love our Infant Mystery Pack! Designed to take the stress of picking toys, it contains three different toys aimed at babies from 3-12 months. When booking your time slot, write “infant mystery pack”, as well as age and mobility (crawling? sitting? climbing? walking?) in the comments section before completing the slot booking. You do not need to do anything else.
