Given that lockdown 2021 has been extended another 7 days, we’ve decided to bring back Click & Collect for this week so you can refresh your toy collection, get a bit more out of toy rotation or simply declutter and return toys!
When does it start?
We will kick things off this Saturday 5 June 2021. There will be two Click & Collect sessions:
- Saturday morning 10-12pm
- Tuesday afternoon 3-5pm
To ensure we can maintain adequate social distancing whilst avoiding queuing, these sessions will be divided into 15 minute slots.
Bookings are essential, you will not be able to attend the Toy Library unless you have booked your “Click and Collect” session (members won’t be allowed into the toy library so all choices need to be reserved online prior to arrival.)
Also note we are taking extra hygiene and cleaning measures, which you can check out on our COVID-19 guidelines.
How does it work?
Here’s a 7 step by step guide on how it’ll work before, during and after your visit.
BEFORE VISITING THE TOY LIBRARY
How do I place toys on hold or book an appointment?
- Log in to your Toy Library account on mibase
- Select the toy(s) you’d like to put on hold
- Click on “appointments” in the top menu bar
- Scroll down to the booking calendar and click “book” next to the time slot that you would like.
For extra details on how to pick, book and hold toys in your online account, you can view and download our comprehensive “Click & Collect guide”.
You have until 24hrs prior to the session to select your toys.
AT THE TOY LIBRARY

Please try to keep to your chosen slot time; if you are more than 15 minutes late your toys will be returned to the library and made available to other members.
- Collecting Toys: Your toys will be labeled on a rack in the covered outside foyer area of the toy library.
Please enter through the “enter gate” pick up your toys, and leave via the “exit” gate.- We ask that if you arrive at the library and someone is “inside the foyer” collecting their toys, that you wait until they’ve left the area to come in.
- Returning Toys: There will be a separate returns rack for you to place toys on in the covered outside foyer area of the toy library
Please enter through the “enter gate” leave your toys, and leave via the “exit” gate.
All toys in the Returns Rack will go into a quarantine period of 7 (seven) days, after which point they will become available for loan again.
AT HOME

Can I just return toys?
Yes! If you are returning toys but not picking any new ones up, a suitable time needs to be arranged with the toy library staff. Please email Sally at info@baysidetoylibrary.org.au to arrange this.
I have a baby and i’m not sure what toys to pick, can you help me?
Well, I guess you’ll love our Infant Mystery Pack! Designed to take the stress of picking toys, it contains three different toys aimed at babies from 3-12 months.
When booking your time slot, write “infant mystery pack” in the comments section as well as their age and mobility (crawling, walking) before completing the slot booking. You do not need to do anything else.
Can I volunteer?
Yes, if you’d like to volunteer during any of these two sessions, please register on your mibase portal and/or email Sally at info@baysidetoylibrary.org.au
