We are very happy to announce that for the last two weeks of the year, Bayside Toy Library will be operating under our new COVID normal. From more sessions, to children back for browsing there’s a bunch changing… read along and find out more.
New Sessions
We’ll be back to running four sessions a week, these will be:
- Tuesday morning, from 9.30am to 11.30am (new!)
- Wednesday night, from 7pm to 9pm (new!)
- Thursday afternoon, from 12.30pm to 2.30pm
- Saturday morning, from 9.30am to 11.30am
Children welcome
Even though the library under COVID-normal standards cannot be a place to come and play, we understand that for some families visiting without children is almost impossible. So, besides expanding our session options, starting next week, you can bring your children along. Please understand that “test play” is out of reach, but we encourage our little members to help with the browsing and picking of their toys. 😉
Duty Roster
In order to open our doors, we need all our members with outstanding hours (remember that duty requirements are 6 hours per membership year) to please log online and select a time that suits. You can choose either 2 or 3 hour duty with each session.
Unfortunately, due to COVID safety guidelines, rostered members cannot bring their children along.
Extra fun!
For the last two weeks of borrowing for 2020, all members can loan an extra toy. Not only that, but remember you get to keep these toys till January when we reopen! 🙂

Remember an excellent option for Santa is to bring a loved one a Bayside Toy Library Membership!
Our gift cards are available with different options, from a full year’s membership to a couple of months. These gifts are usually fabulous for:
- Grandparents
- First time parents, unsure how play can have a vital role in their kid’s development
- Friends with multiple children who cannot cope with the clutter of toys!
