Notice of Special General Meeting
17th September 2020
 
Notice is hereby given that a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Bayside Toy Library Inc (Incorporated under the Associations Corporations Act 1989 (Vic)) (the Association) will be held online via Zoom on Thursday 8 October at 8pm. 
 
The purpose of the meeting is to vote on two Special Resolutions in regard to updating our constitution as detailed below:

Notice of Special Resolutions

The following resolutions will be proposed as special resolutions:

  1. To remove object 2(d) in order for Bayside Toy Library (BTL) to comply with the requirements of the Australian Charities And Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) in order to obtain Charity status, as this object does not reflect a charitable purpose.  
  2. Minor corrections to the BTL Constitution to facilitate the administration of the Bayside Toy Library. Full details available via link. 

The Committee recommends our members vote in favour of the two resolutions.

Proxies

A member entitled to attend and vote at the Special General Meeting may appoint a person to join and vote at the meeting as the member’s proxy.  A proxy must also be a member of Bayside Toy Library Inc. 

A proxy may be appointed by returning the completed proxy form found here, to the secretary at our registered office – 212 Dendy Street, Brighton East, VIC 3187, or via email: secretary@baysidetoylibrary.org.au, at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the meeting.
