Click & Collect approved by DHHS

With the reimposed lockdown restrictions, we’ve had to postpone our plans to reopen the library for now.

The good news is that the DHHS has approved toy libraries to operate under their Click & Collect service. When Toy Libraries Australia spoke to Business Victoria, they stated that:

As long as members are staying within their local communities, utilising a contactless service from outside the premises and all cleaning requirements are being followed, this can continue during Stage 3 Restrictions.

Business Victoria, 9 July 2020

This advice is identical to what was provided by the state government under the original Stage 3 Victorian restrictions in April/ May and publicly confirmed by the Minister for Health, Jenny Mikakos.

Sessions

Remember, we have 15′ slots for which bookings are essential. Our sessions remain the same:

  • Thursday afternoons, 2-5pm
  • Saturday mornings, 9-12pm

Finally, the service can be provided by staff or volunteers, so if you’d like to be part of the volunteer roster during the next six weeks, feel free to book your slot online —please bare in mind that during this period volunteers cannot bring children to the toy library—.

If you have any questions or would like to reach out with feedback or suggestions, Sarah is reading you at sarah[at]baysidetoylibrary.org.au.

We look forward to helping you entertain the little ones!
